It's always an honour to be acknowledged by your industry peers, as was the case at this week's Recruitment Marketing Awards for TMP's work with the Government of Jersey.  

Recruiting Social Workers has always proved extremely difficult with many authorities having to reply on agency staff to maintain services. The GoJ campaign started with the proposition "Let's be Honest". Jersey needed to be shown as a desirable place to live and work but prospective candidates needed the truth about the past, whilst being given a sense of ambition and positivity about the future. 

Beginning with an open letter to Social Workers from the new Director General, it acknowledged the past but positioned the radical re-structure of care as a unique opportunity to improve children's and young people's lives for generations to come.   

This bold and creative approach has exceeded all expectations;

Over 19,000 clicks to the campaign site featuring life on Jersey.

Approaching 400 enquiries.

25 hires already confirmed and many more in the pipeline.

Several agency social worker staff transferring to permanent status.

Winning the Award in the category for Recruitment Effectiveness was a great achievement for all those involved, but the real winners should quite rightly be the children and young people of Jersey.
